Consider them to be a mentor (no age specification). Be inspired and enthusiastic enough to learn from them.

Choice 2 - Be jealous of their work. Competing terribly with the intent of going ahead and leaving people behind.
Once you go ahead of everyone, you will feel purposeless in life.
You will have competition but no satisfaction!
